Below I describe some things that are extremely important when you’re creating your own subliminal messages and subliminal movies.
Texts and images. Customizing you own movie gives you the possibility to pick the words and images that are most suggestive for your psyche. Write down several short words and very short phrases that would help enhancing your memory. For the example above, depending on your personal memory power and the circumstances you know memory lets you down, try “camera”, “camera eyes”, “everything”, “all”, “bravo!”, “memorize”, anything you think will boost your memory.
As for images, try photos of course cover (shoot it with your phone), “A” grade, you smiling, a bottle of cold beer (after the exam) and so on.
Music. In case you have chosen the movie or classical slideshow variant, a background tune is compulsory, because it distracts your attention and will allow subliminal messages get directly to the subconscious without bouncing back from your critical mind.
Do not play vocal music, avoid noisy genres, and only choose melodious, calm, flowing, instrumental pieces of music. Why? Because when listening to vocal music, your subconscious will try to understand the messages in the lyrics, and it misses the subliminal messages. Noisy songs, in their turn, will trap the subconscious in a prolonged effort to calm down your psyche – hence, it can miss the subliminal messages again.
A home remedy might seem like a silly choice if you have a medical problem that needs immediate care-or it could be a great way to start treating minor injuries that you procure around the house. However, keep in mind that it is ALWAYS best to go to the hospital if you feel that you cannot successfully treat an injury or if that injury is severe. This means that if you can see underneath the skin, you’re turning yellow, you have a broken bone or suspected broken bone-basically anything that even seems life-threatening, you should head to the hospital. However, if you know that you can treat it at home-go for it! It’s cheaper than going to the doctor!
First and foremost, you’ll want to see if you can find any good information on any remedies that you’re considering. For one, we can already tell you that the butter trick with burns isn’t the best idea. However, home-grown aloe won’t hurt anything! Most of all, do what you need to, to find the best home remedy for you!
After many years running my Worthing hypnotherapy clinic, I often get asked what happens during a hypnotherapy session, so here is the answer.
First of all any hypnotherapist will need to take a personal case history and know exactly what they are dealing with. This is where all the information required to achieve lasting change will be collated, and where the hypnotherapist can find out how long you have been experiencing the problem for, and other information such as what makes it better, what makes it worse and what you would expect to be different if you were to make an improvement?
Secondly, the hypnotherapist and client need to agree a formal outcome or some small steps of improvement to work towards, so both can be satisfied that progress is being made over the next few sessions.
After the personal history has been taken and the outcome agreed, it is time to do some trance work. This is where the hypnotherapist will ask the client to sit back in their seat, close their eyes and after taking a deep breath, count down from ten to one. This is called the induction.
The induction is the process of gradually increasing the clients level of relaxation, normally over the course of ten minutes. During this time the client will move deeper and deeper in to the hypnotic state, and clear their mind of general day to day thoughts, and focus on the hypnotherapist and his or her words.
After the induction comes the change phase, which lasts for about thirty minutes. During this time the hypnotherapist will talk directly to the clients subconscious mind using metaphors, embedded commands, story telling and other techniques to layer in the helpful suggestions and thoughts. These suggestions and thoughts are very precise, and include actions to be take, thoughts to consider and other thoughts to disregard or even ignore.
Lastly, the last ten minutes is the amnesia and awakening phase. Hypnotherapists use amnesia deliberately in order to stop the client over thinking what has been said, and challenging the suggestions. After the amnesia stage, the hypnotherapist will count from one to ten, and with each incremental number the client will feel more and more alert and awake until the number one, which is the point at which the client is fully alert, and the hypnotherapy session is over.
